Vietnam Govt Calls on Biz To Invest In Energy

The Vietnamese government calls upon domestic and foreign businesses to invest in energy works and is committed to creating favorable conditions for them to do so, a senior official said. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Huu Hao made the announcement at an international seminar on Vietnam's energy development planning and strategies in Hanoi City on August 20.

EuroCham: Vietnam safe for overseas investors

The European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) stated that Vietnam is “a safe place for foreign investors” during talks between representatives of a number of European businesses and the Vietnamese Ministry of Trade and Industry in Hanoi on April 27.
At the event, EuroCham President Alain Cany confirmed that Vietnam remains an important partner for the EU, particularly in trade, and praised the country’s growth rate, its dynamism and untapped potential.

Australian firms high on prospects

ANZ are among the many Australian firms buzzing over Vietnam’s medium-term outlook Charles Goode, chairman of the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, said that Australian businesses were impressed with the government’s ability to manage short-term problems while still convincing investors to improve the local business environment for the medium- and long-term.
